Myfanwy (Emma Greenwell)
Character Introduction
First Noted In: Season 1, Episode 1
Since 2004 Myfanwy has had transdermal neural transmission powers which allow her to lethally affect people’s nerves, muscles, perhaps even their brain. However, recently, she has found herself with her mind wiped of all personal memories. Said act was likely done by what is called a vulture, someone who hunts people like Myfanwy who are categorized as those with EVAs (Extreme Variant Abilities).
Thus leading her to have to get reacquainted with her co-workers, part-time lovers, and herself. A dangerous task for, previous to her mind being wiped, she left warnings and information which makes it seem Myfanwy can’t trust anyone. Even those who seem like they have good intentions.
Additional Information About Myfanwy
- Takes Propranolol Hydrochloride, which is blood pressure medication, but also works for migraines and tremors (per Healthline). This is to help control her powers, and possible anxiety.
- From Horsham.
- Myfanwy is a level 8 EVA.

The head of the Checquy, Linda is 2nd only to home secretary Jennifer Birch, who is the middle person between the Checquy and the British Government. But, outside of her role as a leader, not much is known about Linda. Well, outside of her, despite heading over EVAs, not seemingly being one herself.
Additional Information About Linda
- Despite initially seeming like she was without powers, in S1E5 it is revealed she has some form of sonic powers. The kind which, over quite a radius, can disable, possibly even kill, people.

Conrad (Adrian Lester)
Character Introduction
First Noted In: Season 1, Episode 2
In the hierarchy of the Checquy, he is 2nd in command, but despite having a position which should make him Linda’s right-hand man, he isn’t always forthcoming or cooperative with her. Maybe because he is screwing Home Secretary Birch, giving him an amount of power Linda will never have? Perhaps it is because, unlike her, he is an EVA which can change the atmosphere and either coerce the truth or knock people out? Either way, while clearly operating under the same goal as Linda, his methods are different, and he has a few selfish desires.
Additional Information About Conrad
- Is fond of Myfanwy, and so he covers for her even when it isn’t necessary.

Now, as for when he met Myfanwy to wipe her mind, much less how did he wipe it just to the point of forgetting her whole history, not everything imaginable, is unexplained.

General Information
- The Gestalts powers perhaps are one of the best examples of what it means to be EVA in a practical sense. As explained by Linda, the powers we see should be at the extremes of what people could be capable of. So, with them having a hive mind, meaning what one sees, hears, feels, and perhaps knows, is mutually shared, it expands on the twin theory of being able to share senses with your sibling.
- Not all EVAs manifest their powers as kids or teens. Some don’t learn of their powers until their 20s or 30s.
- Season 1: Conrad and Home Secretary Jennifer have known each other for 18 years, minimum, but have reconnected, in a sexual way, for the last 11 months.
- There are least 8 levels of EVAs with Level 8 being the most powerful noted.

Question(s) Left Unanswered
- What was in Mansel Bank in the box the blue key would have opened?
- Answer: Money, passports, a phone, and a tablet. The answer is discovered in S1E4 by Conrad while investigating Myfanwy.
This is significantly inaccurate. Gestalt is one person in four bodies and is in love with Myfanwy regardless of which body she’s talking to. “Eliza”, “Robert”, “Alex” and “Teddy” don’t have separate personalities at all, there’s only Gestalt, who sometimes affects different habits just to put other people ease. Gestalt explains this very clearly. And while we see her with the Alex body at one point, it was the Robert body Myfanwy first had sex with; it doesn’t matter which one. In doing so, she had sex with all of Gestalt, who is a single person existing in four places at once.
Gestalt is played by multiple actors and the way they are noted is in how Gestalt, as you note, presents slight alterations.
