While there is a playfulness on display regarding how Spa Night treats lust, it can feel like something is missing. Whether it is commentary, a bit more of a story, or a touch more about its characters, while you have to appreciate how it establishes tone, vibe, and perhaps some form of excitement regarding the idea and act of potentially cruising in a spa, the cinematography is unable to make up for lack of payoff or characters who could give something beyond something you may want to see more of.
