Highlights

A Comedy With Heart

It’s weird, yet comical, to hear someone have sex and not see them. Especially when you have people like Charlie questioning the state of Troy’s anus, considering all the people he has sex with. It just makes things so comical, especially as it becomes a reason people come over to Thea and Charlie’s apartment.

But, you do have to appreciate, rather than have Troy be the joke of the whole short, they show him as a person. He is a sex worker living in New York, who tried to have a legit job doing marketing, but that didn’t pay the bills. So, sex sells, and Troy is a handsome forty-something, so he did what he was good at to make ends meet.

Sadly, as seen between Troy and his boyfriend, being a sex worker and being in a relationship with someone who doesn’t understand the physical intimacy means nothing emotionally is hard to convey. Thus, like Thea, you find yourself feeling for Troy a bit. Since it doesn’t seem like Troy is a bad guy or wants to be a sex worker. More so, like some sex workers, there is a push and pull between the money you can make and the personal sacrifices you have to accept to stay above water.
