Highlight(s)
The Dynamic Between James and Tessa Will Make You Laugh
With how Wendy and Belle go back and forth, it will make you jump to social media for surely they have to be a comedic duo. From Tessa’s weaponized incompetence to James seeming to believe so many people are out to get them, and Tessa is just the latest one, this feels more like the culmination of something rather than the start.
Mid-Credit Images
Most shorts end with leaving you wanting more and frustrated, but Sister! deserves a special shout-out for having images in the mid-credits that continue the story. You may not get the kind of humor that will make you fall further in love, but the hijinks will make you wish Comedy Central, and a lot of other cable networks, still produced scripted content for this to become expanded on.
Overall
Sister! is probably one of the funniest things we saw at the 2025 Tribeca Film Festival. We laughed through most, if not all of it, and believe me when I say that is a rare thing for any production to do. So here is hoping that, as it makes the festival rounds, you not only get to see it, but also a producer who can invest in it.
