Uncle Brownie is famous, or infamous, for beating up a multitude of people at a local bar within the span of 2 minutes. Depending on who you ask, it’s anywhere from 10 to 30, but because of this, after Bear gets jumped, Elora says they should see her uncle to teach him how to fight.
Now, when we say uncle, it isn’t by blood. One of Elora’s relatives, Cookie, adopted Uncle Brownie as a brother, and Elora’s family treated him as one, and each generation treats him like blood. Even with him being a bit reclusive.

However, with him knowing the people far more than the cops from Okern, he is better able to differentiate those who should go to jail and those who might be desperate, a bit off, or just need help.
