Review/ Commentary
On The Fence
It Has The Vibe Of A Commercial You’ve Seen Dozens Of Times
To be honest, there isn’t anything necessarily mind-blowing about this short. However, there is no denying the animation, with the song, makes a well-crafted story. One that should get you emotional but, even with our level of sensitivity, it just didn’t bring us to tears. It felt like a commercial that was missing where you could donate money to a non-profit organization.
Overall
Rating: Mixed (Divisive)
By no means is this a bad short, it is just it feels like a commercial to get donations. So while sad enough to pull on your heartstrings, there is this slight tinge that right as it thinks you are about to cry, it’s going to try to exploit your feelings for money. Hence the mixed label.
