Transcript of Video

  1. Intro Slide
  2. Recap: Due to Rintaro going to the low-tier public high school, Chidori, and all the things he has overheard about himself for years, he believes his own bad boy reputation.
  3. Recap: But, rather than have a chip on his shoulder, looking for fights, outside of his friend group, he stays to himself, on the assumption that he is found scary or undesirable.
  4. Recap: Enter Karuka, a petite girl who goes to Rintaro’s family bakery, who not only doesn’t find him scary, but also appears to have a crush on him.
  5. Recap: This is a huge shock for Rintaro, especially after his reputation nearly gets Karuka hurt. Yet, with him moving like a knight in shining armor, her feelings grow, and his worries about how he is perceived start to dissipate.

    • Review: When I tell you this is a butterfly-inducing type of show! Oh my god! Just watching Rintaro realize not only does some upper-class girl like Karuka like, but finds him attractive? SWOON!
    • Review: Giddiness aside, while Rintaro is clearly handsome, it is interesting to watch an anime that deals with class, and I’m interested to see whether Karuka interacts with Rintaro away from his family’s bakery.
    • Review: With the split between his school and the girls’ school next door, where Karuka goes, whether she crosses the barrier, interacts with the boy, and breaks unspoken rules has me wide-eyed.
    • Review: Never mind, considering there is mutual interest, I wonder how this relationship will progress and what milestones may this season hold?
    • Overall (85/100): Between Karuka changing Rintaro’s perception of himself, the possibility of first love, and all the push and pull from them coming from different worlds, The Fragrant Flower Blooms with Dignity may quickly become one of our favorites.
