Highlight(s)

The Two Sided World [83/100]

The animation style is interesting. Gravity operates in the opposite way, with everything pulled towards the sky, rather than the seemingly non-existent ground. It creates fun scenarios in order to keep the houseboat anchored, and leaves the question of what will happen in the upside-down world?

You get to see it, and when it hits, that leads to the next part.

An Emotional 10 Minutes [84/100]

The story of Saba is simple, as there is no dialogue, but it still has the means of being impactful. A grandfather raising his grandson, with no signs of a parent, implying the worst possible scenario. On top of that, grandpa is old, in this precarious position, and the kid is barely out of a diaper. It pushes you to feel and recognize that something can happen, and it wouldn’t be good.

The pressure builds until the mid-point and continues as you explore the aftermath. Leaving you emotional, and there is even a chance for tears.

Our Rating (83/100): Positive (Worth Seeing)

Saba, with having no dialog, pushes its viewer to fill in the blanks with their own emotions, thoughts, and history. This doesn’t feel like work offloaded to the viewer, but a means of immersion as you question this curious world and wonder how the story will come to an end.
