Cinderella (2021) Ending (Spoilers)

Title Card 2 - Cinderella (2021)

While Ella originally rejects Prince Robert, for she refuses to be oppressed and give up her dreams to be his wife and Queen, things shift. With Queen Beatrice upset with King Rowan for forcing their son’s hand and realizing he is so tepid on marriage because of their own, the King begins to make amends. He pursues his wife, as he did before they were married, sets up Princess Gwen to take the throne next, and supports Prince Robert in marrying who he wants and having a relationship on his terms.

Thus that sets off the usual hunt for the glass slipper wearer, but Prince Robert actually finds Ella while she is running to the marketplace to meet up with Queen Tatiana. Someone who, during the ball, took note of Ella’s dress and is interested in perhaps purchasing more. So, Prince Robert gets her to that meeting and Queen Tatiana, appreciating Ella’s talents, hires her.

This means for Prince Robert not marrying Ella, but rather joining her as she dresses Queen Tatiana as the Queen goes to royal dinners, amongst other events, throughout the world. Making it so Gwen can truly begin planning how she will reign without the potential of her brother’s presence embarrassing her, distracting her, or undermining her.

Does Cinderella (2021) Have Prequel/ Sequel Potential?

The Fabulous Godmother noting it is time to go

It does. Whether by having other famous tales experience the spin Cannon gave Ella, or having, during Ella and Prince Robert’s travels, going to different kingdoms and perhaps spreading their way of life, and us seeing that change other tales we’re aware of. Either way, this could become a franchise, I just don’t know if that franchise will get financed.
