Character Introduction

Blind since she was 14, due to Retinitis Pigmentosa, and in the foster care system until around that time, Murphy has had a hard life. One which included being attacked two years before the series began that might be one of the reasons she drinks heavily and is promiscuous. Yet, with the death of Tyson, she may just get her act together.

Character Introduction

While Jess is Murphy’s roommate, arguably her best friend is Tyson – a 17-year-old kid. One who has a little bit of a crush on Murphy and is the catalyst for Murphy possibly getting her act together. For with her believing Tyson was murdered, it forces her out of her usual routine of drinking and having sex with a stranger.

Jess is a veterinarian, also a lesbian, and Murphy’s roommate. She is probably far kinder than Murphy often deserves but is a reliable friend.

Felix is the person who compensates for the fact Murphy gets to work for free, and is one of the main reasons Hoy and Hank’s guide dog facility may still be up and running. Not to imply they are incompetent but clearly their nepotism blinds them a bit. But, when it comes to Murphy, Felix is kind of like an annoying brother who she goes back and forth with, yet knows he is there for her if in need.
