Storylines/ Recap
- Jay and Kiara continue to be on rocky terms as she feels a certain type of way about his relationship with Sahara. Thankfully, Kiara has no beef with Sahara, but both take note of Jay’s response with being confronted. Sahara gets downplayed, thrown under the bus, and rolled over twice, while Kiara warms back up to Jay, but not enough to keep him out of the bottom two.
- For Cisco and Tae, alongside Husieen and Rose, things remain smooth sailing. Calil mentioning he wants to wait longer than Tae to have kids leads to him getting eliminated, and while Cam talks about stepping up with Rose, Husieen is honestly lightyears ahead at this point.
- As for Angie? She’s still there. She opens up to Husieen, to a point, about what it would take for a man to be the leader of her life, but while she may open up, it seems clear where his investment is.
- Oh, and Deona gets eliminated.
Review and Commentary
Highlights
Cisco and Tae [83/100]
While Husieen and Rose make sense, I feel like the intimacy shown between Cisco and Tae actually presents a sense of romance, rather than just getting along. Which, don’t get me wrong, having mundane moments and things like that is important. But sometimes on Ready To Love, it can feel like a process of elimination in terms of someone being good enough, but not necessarily someone you desire. Which can make it so that you are rooting for a couple throughout the process, only to learn that once the cameras were gone, so did the effort leave.
With Cisco and Tae, admittedly, her worries about his stability could cause an issue, but I like to believe he is working on it, getting somewhere, and can be all she needs in a man.
Low Points
Jay [68/100]
Jay lowkey trash – midkey trash. In my mind, the way he handled the Sahara situation may not have led to him cursing and carrying on, but for a season that has shown a tad more maturity than in past seasons, he definitely produced one of the lowest moments. The way he totally dismissed Sahara was an unnecessary level of disrespect, and while I can imagine him and Kiara making it to the end, he might be one of the few I hope gets exposed on the reunion show and dumped in dramatic fashion.
Just full-on embarrassment.

How They Treat Sahara [74/100]
At this point, I feel like they are setting Sahara up for a spin-off or need to. Her mannerisms clearly are a favorite of the editors and producers, and all she is missing is a catch phrase for them to monetize. But, with that said, there is this feeling that as much as you want her seen and showcased, you also want her protected, and I don’t think the show is walking that line the way it should.

- Recap: After Deona’s elimination, Calil is on the ropes since Tae is locked in with Cisco. But by saying he wants to wait almost five years for kids, he loses his lifeline and gets eliminated at the end of the episode.
- Recap: Let it be known, though, he wasn’t the only one on the rocks. Jay and Kiara’s relationship is still rocky, and Sahara gets dragged into their drama with Jay throwing her under the bus.
- Recap: Cam, too, has issues as it seems Rose grows closer to Husieen, and as for Angie and Sahara? Pretty much, it seems they have no options and might be Cam’s backup if Rose chooses Husieen.
- Recap: Making it seem, if the men get to eliminate a woman in the next episode, Cam will have to choose between Sahara and Angie, who has to go.
- Review: Jay throwing Sahara under the bus got me feeling a certain type of way, but I appreciate that Kiara was focused on what Jay did, not what Sahara entertained.
- Review: Alongside that, honestly, I think I might be off the Cam and Sahara train, just because it seems like he isn’t trying to lock that down; he wants Rose, but knows she requires more work than Angie and Sahara.
- Review: Which isn’t to imply they are easy or have lower standards, but because they don’t have strong connections, he can take things slower, easier, with less intent with them – and it is a damn shame.
- Review: But, between Cisco and Tae, Jay and Kiara, and Husieen and Rose, I think we may have our final three couples.
- Overall (75/100): Once the show reaches endgame, more and more, you are just waiting for things to wrap up, and honestly, while the “Meet the Family” episode promises drama, I think things are locked in and without a major bomb, we know who will end up together.
