Episode 14 “Reunion Part 2” Storylines/ Recap

Is It The Truth Or Just Asking For Drama: Rose, Cam, Eddie

Whether producers were feeding things to Rose, she saw with her own two eyes, or got it from the grapevine, it seems that anytime she was on the couch, she was ready to call someone out. Granted, it flopped each time with Cam denying he is having a kid, Eddie gets called out and he denies he was in a relationship during the show, and Rose is left looking bitter, hurt, and lashing out.

Not A Single One Made It: Jay, Kiara, Cisco, Tae

Like a good amount of seasons, even if someone made it to the end, by the time the reunion hits, no one who was part of the final three or two are together. Jay and Kiara ended their relationship since Jay stopped putting on that pressure, courting in Kiara’s words, with Jay’s defense being that it was a lot of dating on a regular basis on the show. For him, a week to a month just to recalibrate was needed, and Kiara didn’t like being left in limbo.

As for Cisco and Tae? It was the money issue. She tried to move past it, but with Cisco revealing how he quit a job to be a model and her thinking about wanting to be married soon, have a child, it made him inviting instability too much to look past.

So Who Is Dating Who?: Angie, Khalil, Fritz, Shanice, Deona, Eddie

In the end, Angie and Khalil are talking, Fritz and Shanice appear to be dating, and Deona and Eddie? Well, both are giving the situation a chance, and it took Tommy nudging Eddie for him to get a date on the books. So, while it would be hard to say if anyone found love, some are at least dating someone they met on the show.

Review and Commentary

Highlights

The Background Conversations [82/100]

Honestly, there are times I wish the reunion show format was more of a round table than cycling people on and off the couch. The conversation regarding Tae saying Cisco checked off every box except one led to what could have been interesting takes from cast members. And honestly, as much as we enjoy the reactions to the drama, I feel like the show could use some recentering.

On The Fence

The Drama Eventually Felt Scripted [73/100]

Where was Rose’s receipts? Who gave her some of this information? After a certain point, it just felt like the pursuit of drama was a great marketing tool, and to compensate for yet another season where the final three didn’t last, Rose was used to deliver a memorable episode.

Overall

Our Overall Rating [77/100]

While Ready To Love leaving the south did lead to similar results, with Detroit being the next stop, there is always a guarantee for drama and hope that we may get some people who end things not only thinking they are ready to love, but showing they are.
