  1. Thank you for your analysis. I had high hopes for this show but the racism floored me. I thought I must be missing something but your blog validated my reaction. Shame on Netflix.

  2. I’m surprised they are showing this on Netflix. I’m Mexican American (speak Spanish) and found it highly offensive. I did wonder in the beginning if maybe the sense of humor is not translating somehow to our culture? Then when she started with the racism crap I wondered why it’s even airing in the US. That’s the last thing we need right now. I rarely get offended when it comes to stand up, I’m a huge fan of stand up and easily able to laugh at myself but this crap was something else.

  3. I agree with your opinion on this “special”. And I do speak Spanish. You are right, the jokes weren’t funny and her delivery was flat. And even the few insights you talk about I’ve heard before.

  4. Good article. Agreed that Alexis De Anda is a racist. Her Comedy special is horrible, full of racist comments, therefore not funny at all. Shame on Netflix for sponsoring her crappy racist monologue.
