Highlights

Learning To Live With Your Thoughts

We all have insecurities. They fester and grow. We try to cut them away, mask them, even pretend they aren’t there. Yet, sometimes, there is no getting rid of them. You have to make peace with your negative thoughts and see their existence as a challenge. One that helps you know there is still fight left in you and, like the appendage in the film, what you’re dealing with isn’t the sum of you. Rather, it is a nasty zit-looking being that can be popped, chopped, and maybe even reduce itself with time.

Overall

Our Rating: Positive (Worth Seeing)

In manifesting insecurities and fears with his disgusting-looking being, Appendage taps into its audience’s negative thoughts and brings to life that voice we all try to drown out. All while reminding us that we are in control, we are fighters, and in the long run, while the voice may never go away, you don’t have to see it as a staunch enemy.
