Plot Summary
Jaydn, after dating her boyfriend for only six months, decides to factor their relationship into her moving from Atlanta to England. Unfortunately for her, no sooner does she land, and before her first day at her new job, he breaks up with her. Mind you, within weeks of Valentine’s Day.
Enter Jaydn’s new job at Glow, run by a woman named Dominique, who introduces Jaydn to her co-workers Alex and Brandi, who also recently have been dealt the blow of breakups. But, while Jaydn is ready to cry and mourn, Brandi proposes revenge, and Alex co-signs.
Thus leading to the girls getting back at their exes, but after their initial wins, their exes end up dead, and so comes the question of who is killing them, why, and will this comeback on the ladies? Assuming they won’t be killed once all of their exes are dead.

Alex is Glow’s copywriter, who often sees Brandi’s madness and tries to be the voice of reason.
Brandi (Cassie Clare)
Brandi is one of Dominique’s longest employees at Glow and was recently promoted to brand manager, which led to her falling out with Tristan.

At one time, Tristan and Brandi were best friends, especially since they had started off as assistants together. However, with her getting promoted, their relationship has now devolved into trading off insults.

Highlights
It Knows It’s Campy, And Leans Into It
By no means is “My Bloody Galentine” trying to be a serious horror in terms of having thriller elements or anything like that. Instead, it has comical characters like Brandi, with her sometimes exaggerated expressions, bosses like Dominique, who clearly lack boundaries, and Tristan. He is Dominique’s gay assistant, and his sexuality is certainly played up for laughs.
Now, is it in such a way to be offensive? No. However, you do see some tropes and stereotypes played upon for laughs. Nothing hilarious, hence the mention of the film being campy, but like a lot of “My Bloody Galentine,” sometimes it is so bad it somehow loops back to being good.
On The Fence
The Villain And Their Motive
With anything camp, there is always something that doesn’t somehow make the full trek from being awful to good, and the villain of “My Bloody Galentine” is it. Thankfully, the movie has no supernatural element to try to up the ante. Instead, there is just a demented person, jealous as to be expected, and the big reveal falls on its face, as does everything that comes after.
Was this expected? Yes, because the film doesn’t push you to have high expectations. However, it doesn’t mean even with setting your outlook low, does it not still lead to an eye-roll when you hear the motivation, and it doesn’t justify murder.
