Alone/Together is a bit forgettable, but makes for a breezy watch, as most Philippines based romances do.

Alone/ Together Ending Explained

Christine (Liza Soberano) looking at Raf.
Christine (Liza Soberano)

While it is made clear to us that Christine feels obligated to be with Greg, since he saved her from a million dollar scandal, it’s clear she isn’t happy. Her dream was deferred, and while she has settled and excelled in this new life, it isn’t her life. She became an accessory to Greg’s. So with Raf challenging her, it complicated things. Especially since he has Aly in his life, and even has a kid with her. So for this man to push her to pursue her happiness, knowing she once saw him as part of that plan makes life difficult for her.

Yet, there comes the point when she realizes that as much as she loves Greg, and he helped her that one time, his investment in her is based on what he can do for her. So, with him showing no interest in her trip to New York, her seeing these great galleries, it becomes clear she needs to move on. She has long paid him back for his kindness, and now she needs to invest in herself and her own happiness.

Thus leading to her getting back into the art world, not shying from her past, and making progress. Then with Raf, while he is kind of iffy about getting back with her, after multiple rejections, it seems they’ll make it. Granted, they’ll make it with Christine becoming a stepmom again, but she was for Greg’s child so that won’t be anything new.

While a good watch for a lazy Sunday or matinee, it isn’t something you must see. This isn’t going to have you laughing or crying to the point of trembling. It is a very basic romance film that you can enjoy but likely won't remember long term.
