Off To El Dorado: Sophie, Sword

For most of the episode, nothing really major happens. Sister’s funeral happens and then Sword gets the order to head west. A place we are told has long been giving up on when it comes to controlling and likely is where El Dorado is. Especially since reports say The Silver Knight came from that direction. So, having Sophie tag along as bait, Sword heads west with her and experiences the countryside.

What Awaits On The Other side: The Silver Knight

Garo – Vanishing Line Season 1 Episode 9 “Setting Off” – El Dorado

It seems, alongside The Silver Knight, there are two others who serve the king. One is a woman and the other the being who was the master of Pawn, who we met back in episode 7 – who The Silver Knight killed.

Question(s) Left Unanswered

  1. So the nun’s name was just Sister, for real?
  2. How in the world were those buildings still standing?

On The Fence

The Calm Before The Storm

Garo – Vanishing Line Season 1 Episode 9 “Setting Off” – The Silver Knight

There isn’t much to comment on for this episode. It was nice to see Sword and Sophie continue to bond, see the world outside of the city, but nothing else happens. Heck, even in terms of the excitement that should come from seeing the villains of El Dorado, being that we had to wait so long, there is less excitement vs. the feeling of “FINALLY!”

So here is hoping now with villains who won’t meet their end in one episode, things will really start to pick up. Not just action wise, but also us solving a few of the show’s mysterious – especially in terms of what is within El Dorado. Alongside why was the west lost and this lost simply accepted?
