Summary
For most of his life, Charlie has had a crush on Zoe yet, for some reason, he decides to have a threesome with her and his best friend Isaac. Something Isaac seemed much more into than Charlie and, when the action happens, it leads to the two of them having sex while Charlie is left frustrated in another room. It gets worse from there though, for Charlie. Particularly because Isaac and Zoe start a thing, what seems to be a whirlwind romance – marriage and all. Yet, despite being rejected in that room, unbeknownst to Isaac, the threesome didn’t really end.

The Awkward and Weird Moments
There is nothing sexy about having a threesome when it comes to Zoe, Isaac, and Charlie, which I appreciated. However, the thing which may be difficult for you to get into is all the weirdness that comes as they start stripping their clothes. From Zoe crying, because she got out of an intense relationship, and hasn’t been touched in a while, to how quickly she and Isaac decided they should get married, that is just the light stuff. Spoiling the movie a tad, it goes from those two things to Zoe and Charlie having this mommy with big lactating breasts and this big bad baby fantasy. Thus bringing a strong sense of WTF to the movie.
Which, to be honest, gives you this vibe that this is the type of movie where, since no one was casting its stars to be the leads, they made something they could star in. Making it where a lot of the weird and awkwardness might have came from a limited budget, not a lot of time to work the kinks out and, possibly, not a lot of outside scrutiny. For there really does come a point where you wonder if stuff like the whole Zoe and Charlie mommy and baby fantasy was supposed to produce word of mouth more than anything and everything else going on in the film. Since, if I remember anything about this film days, weeks from now, it will be those two being open, and may be vulnerable enough, to reveal and act out that fantasy.

Overall: Mixed (Divisive)
I’m really trying to wrap my head around what I just watched. By no means is this movie bad, but there is almost this vibe that it aimed for Woody Allen weird, when it came to conversations and scenarios. However, rather than seek out the comedy it sought out the drama and dug itself deeper into the weirdness. To the point it could very well lose you as you begin to wonder if this movie is a product of not having any real reigns or outside influences saying, “Maybe we shouldn’t.”
Hence the mixed label. For there is something strangely appealing in how different this movie tries to be yet, in pursuit of standing out, it also leaves you perplexed about where this is going? Much less, what is this trying to convey exactly? That is, besides these actors want to work and also want to be the stars. Not just supporting actors or in bit parts that just help pay the bills.
