With the way things seem, don’t be surprised if the Gods and Demons join forces to rebuke Charioce and the humans he represents.

Since Cocytus Fell: Lucifer, Azazel

While Azazel finds himself forced to fight in the human’s Colosseum, many of the remaining demon clans plot and gather. For with it being 5 years since Cocytus fell, there is hope that Lucifer can lead them to a resurgence. One which is actually successful and doesn’t end up like Azazel. Which, Lucifer seems to have faith in. It is noted that it won’t happen soon but definitely seems like a possibility.

Commentary

Here is what I’m trying to understand, how did Charioce “defeat” the demons if Lucifer is still alive? Did he just win a battle and the rest of them retreated? Either to hide away in the dens of the human world, if not integrate, while the rest hid away in the realm Cocytus once was? I mean, say what you will about the angels, but the demons look like some real punks right now.

And granted, the power of the Onyx Knights shouldn’t be discounted but, how much of an edge does that really give Charioce’s army? Especially to make even the proud and formerly boisterous rulers of the demon world hide away?

The Preparations Continue: Charioce

While the demons toil away, planning for a moment they hope to come, Charioce readies for his next battle with the gods. Something he is warned may do more than take away his sight, but he doesn’t care. As noted previously, Charioce is out to prove himself. Seemingly, by any means necessary – including by sacrificing his life.

Commentary

As gone into more in the next topic, Nina is worried about Charioce’s fate at this point. For with him being the demon and now god killer, he has two very large and powerful factions against him. Leaving her unsure if they may have that fabled dance ever again.

Yet, as noted perhaps every other episode, Charioce is a bastard child trying to chisel his name in human history. Not just his country’s history, but all of mankind. Which does lead to the question in my head, what do the other towns and cities think of him? For while it is noted in the first few episodes the rest of humanity has yet to recover, that doesn’t mean other kingdoms and governments don’t exist right? Surely the gods aren’t going to see Charioce as the representative of all those who survived Bahamut’s rage and wipe them out… right?

I mean, that is perhaps the one thing I don’t seriously get. What makes this one kingdom so special that the gods put all their focus onto it? Much less, why don’t do some medieval times Vatican type of stuff where they just raise an army of humans with only the promise of blessings? It isn’t like they couldn’t create strife. We saw there were many who did not support Charioce at all.

Even Lucifer Was An Angel Once: Lady Sofiel, Gabriel, El (Mugaro), Nina, Jeanne D’Arc

As Lady Sofiel suspects and El probably knows is true, Gabriel is not all that she seems. For while she greets Jeanne with a smile, it is one with a hint of wickedness. If only because she believes, through Jeanne, she can take control of El’s powers once more. For with that grand loss, now El wants more autonomy. If not a very visible role in creating peace with and for mankind.

Yet, as has been made clear, the men fight the wars as the women watch. Something Gabriel has no intentions of changing. For in her war against mankind, she surely isn’t going to let this man child usurp her. Much less let him become the idol man fears and prays to.

Commentary

Jeanne and El reunited again.

I fully expect Gabriel and Lucifer to eventually discuss either taking out Charioce and/or El. For with El speaking as if he is the sole one who can bring peace, if not balance, to the world, you know Gabriel isn’t going to stand for that. Especially since what she wants is to be exalted and praised. Which, as has been implied, is for selfish reasons.

Yet, maybe not completely. For, assuming the writer(s) of Shingeki no Bahamut are working from the same lore I am, let us not forget Lucifer. Assuming Lucifer went to war with his fellow gods, Gabriel was on the other side of things.

I mean, in my mind, the heavens became a matriarchy because when it was a patriarchy it was chaos. So maybe all the demons we see are fallen angels in Shingeki no Bahamut’s world. Either way, something tells me old friends, or rather siblings, will surely speak. If only because they have a mutual enemy. One Gabriel seemingly rather have fear her than love her, at this point.

Though, if this theory is true, I fully expect Gabriel to betray Lucifer to try and win back man’s favor. If not increase the fear to another level.

Oh yeah, we get to see these two in the episode.
