Recap

Good Help Is Hard to Find – Noah, Maddie, Chim

At home, Maddie has hired a new nanny who, while recommended and thorough, doesn’t mesh well with her and Chim’s lifestyle. She takes over their apartment, and with them becoming uncomfortable with her level of cleanliness and being anal, she gets fired, and it is back to the drawing board.

Then, at work, someone has been using Maddie’s login to coordinate robberies that have yet to go to plan. Now, who is doing this? Noah, the new kid, whose family needed money, so he used his knowledge to try to help. But he picked the wrong one to target, and to clear her name, she gets Noah’s confession on tape through a wire.

Second Chances – Hen, Dr. Simmons, Karen

Hen, once again, tries to pass Dr. Simmons class, and this time she takes her on rounds, and with Hen passing with flying colors, Karen is so excited. Too bad the episode ends making it seem Karen is in a dangerous situation at work. A situation that already has casualties.

Things To Note

Question(s) Left Unanswered

  1. Um, where is Hen going? Why are there conversations like she is leaving? Is it just the 118 or the show? I don’t like my emotions being played with like this.

What Could Happen Next

  1. Apparently, we’re going to see Karen’s workplace, under distress

Highlights

9-1-1 Call Follow Up

Usually, whenever “9-1-1” has calls, the story ends once the rescue happens. However, at the end of this episode, we see Buck and Eddie help repair a house they sort of destroyed. We see the dog from the last episode, which nearly OD’d, bounce from every character’s house, to the house Noah set up to be robbed. This, to my memory, is the first time we saw what happened to people after the 118 came into their lives, and seeing them leave it better, beyond the rescue, was a nice touch. I hope we see this throughout the rest of the season.

Hen’s Future

Back and forth, there has been the question of whether Hen will stay with the 118, start a new career, and whether Hen will remain on the show during this time. We still don’t have a definitive answer, but it is exciting to see Hen reach a point where she clearly is closing a chapter in her life. Now let’s just hope Karen’s situation doesn’t blow it up.
