Overview
As the level to Amber and Holli’s intelligence gets explored, Viva continues to look for ways to get out of her engagement.
Topic 1: Maths – Holli, Amber, and Saz
Topic 2: Reverse Psychology – Viva
Topic 3: We Need To Talk – Viva and Rocky
Review (with Spoilers)
Topic 1: Maths – Holli, Amber, and Saz
With Ms. Hitchcock wanting Holli and Amber to do better in their Maths, mostly because of her job, she enlists Saz to help them. Issue is, neither Holli nor Amber give a damn about Maths. Amber is happy being simple, and Holli rather text her boyfriends. That is until Amber gets told off by Ms. Hitchcock and Holli gets a letter from her dad in which he praises her staying in school and learning. Thus leading them to take their tutelage seriously.
Commentary
What’s so frustrating about the whole Amber and Holli situation is that they are written as such idiots that they don’t even realize, or verbally talk about, what they are good at outside of school. Like, with Amber, say what you will about her intelligence but, as seen, she is the most capable in social situations out of the whole group. As for Holli, while not social, she has strength and also has been able to charm guys better than the other girls. Even Amber all things considered.
That thought aside, I do wonder when will we see Brandon again? Much less, what will it be like to see Holli’s dad? She gets pretty emotional about him returning so I hope the build doesn’t lead to a flat moment.
Topic 2: Reverse Psychology – Viva
It seems Viva’s last hope to end the engagement peacefully, her dad, fails. For not only is he in love with Rocky’s parenting skills, but also in love with Rocky period. However, Viva thinks this is all reverse psychology and he is trying to create a sense of doubt in her head. Truth is, though, since the beginning, all the doubt was innate within her.
Commentary
Holli noted how pretty much pity is the sole reason for this engagement, and it is hard to argue it is anything but that. For while Viva seems to love Rocky, you can tell she is making plans for a high school boyfriend to become a lifetime. Despite him increasingly being far from her ideal. Something which may lead to another breakup.
Topic 3: We Need To Talk – Viva and Rocky
After researching what nannies make, and then them talking about him becoming a PE teacher again, Viva and Rocky have a fight. One in which he calls her stuck up because he is pursuing his passion over money, and she accuses him of having a lack of ambition. Making it seem the timer on their relationship has definitely started, for there are core issues that these two just may not be able to overcome.
Commentary
With it being so long since season 2, I honestly can’t fully remember why they got back together, outside of jealousy. For while they are cute together, and Rocky does try, it seems Viva pretty much is in love with his looks more than the person he is or wants to be. Leading you to seriously wonder if the show goes on until Viva graduates and goes to university, will Rocky be saying his final goodbye?
Things To Note
Where is Viva’s Brother?
