Recap

Meet Setanta Macness – Dimor, Dia, Lugh, Setanta

Setanta Macness

The man Maha warned Lugh about seemingly is the hero. Setanta has this berserker skill which makes it so, when injured, his stats rise, and to make things worse, his healing ability is off the charts. This presents a major obstacle for Lugh to get Dia out. For while Dimor is willing to sacrifice a lot to get his daughter out of here, Setanta, when he gets a glimpse of Lugh’s power, he decides he wants a one on one fight and, if he doesn’t get it, it will mean a massacre.

So, Did It Work? – Setanta, Lugh

So, how does someone like Hugh, who is more so an assassin than a fighter, take out someone like Setanta who has few, if any, peers or rivals? Well, as noted by Lugh previously, Tungsten is one of the only known elements which could possibly do damage to someone who has mana. So, when it comes to Setanta, who has mana off the charts, Lugh creates what can only be described as an intergalactic missile that he has go straight in the air and come crashing down with an immense amount of force.

We’re even told he practice this with Tarte at that faraway island, and, from all appearances, the attack works.

Just When You Thought Things Would Be Peaceful –  Dia, Lugh, Cian, Esri, Epona, The Goddess

The Goddess smirking

With Setanta handled, you can see a sly smile on The Goddess’ face. It isn’t clear why, especially when Setanta wasn’t the hero. We’re told it is someone named Epona. But, perhaps the bigger issue is that with Epona’s arrival comes the Demon Lord soon to follow.

Though, in Lugh’s household, that is the least of his worries. Now Dia lives with him, albeit under the guise she is his little sister, despite her being older than him. Which, who knows, could complicate the relationship Lugh wants but, if Esri has it her way, despite the ruse Cian set up, she may still get the grandchildren she desires.

  1. So if Setanta wasn’t the hero and Epona is, how powerful is Epona?!
  2. Does the Goddess actually want an apocalypse? Could she have actually been the demon lord?

What Could Happen Next

  1. Us really seeing Lugh face the hero and potentially the demon lord
  2. Seeing how Lugh adapts to being expected to treaty Dia like a younger sister

On The Fence

It Was A Satisfying Ending – To A Point

While we know Lugh has been preparing his whole life to take out the hero, and very little of his training has been about long-term engagements in battle, I gotta admit, as much as I was shocked by the power of his attack, I was also disappointed. The most formidable person Lugh has yet to meet was handled in the same episode that they were properly introduced.

Then, to add onto that, we’re later told they weren’t even the hero! This person, an S-Rank Berserker, wasn’t the hero, but rather this noble class person named Epona. And while the Goddess having a smirk did create a bit of a stir, it wasn’t made clear why.

Which makes it so, as much as you may appreciate Dia getting to live under Lugh’s household and all that could mean in the future, it does feel like we got a partly satisfying but ultimately rushed ending.
