As Sister Krone reveals her intentions at the farm, it becomes clear that Emma, Ray, and Norman may not all get what they want if they plan to escape.

The Return of Sister Krone, And Her Plans For The Future: Krone, Isabella
It’s established this episode that Isabella’s farm isn’t the only one out there, but she, the youngest mom and caretaker, is known for having the highest quality – plants. Yes, the children are referred to as plants. But, unlike many in her position, Isabella isn’t foolish enough to believe that she can maintain what she does alone, especially since the kids are aware of the harvest.
However, what Isabella may not have taken into consideration is Krone has ambition. The kind which, at first, seemingly is just to be like Isabella. But, with Isabella confiding in Krone, she decides why be like Isabella when she can just take over what Isabella has done. The only thing she needs is to find the kids who know the truth and use them to destroy Isabella’s reputation.
Putting Plans Into Action: Ray, Norman, Emma, Krone
As Krone grows closer to the kids, Emma, Ray, and Norman are trying to figure out a way to either explain the truth or work around it. One of the ideas, perhaps just to prep the kids to escape, is using tag so they build up their strength and learn to strategize. However, as shown by Krone playing the game, all but Ray and Norman are able to outrun and outsmart her. Thus making the whole issue of finding, breaking, or manipulating the tracking devices a bit more complicated. For outside of Ray’s idea to kill Isabella and Krone, how will they get everyone away from the adults if they are as fast and nearly as cunning?

Someone On The Inside: Emma, Ray, Norman
Taking note of Krone’s performance, so comes the idea of if there might be a backup put in place. After all, if the trackers don’t have unique signatures, how can the adults know who ran? They don’t even signal if someone is near the wall or gate. So, with that in mind, it is assumed there might be a kid who they can’t trust, and the one with glasses is who Emma assumes might be a traitor. However, she has nothing to prove this idea.

- Considering Ray speaks about them not having sophisticated tracking devices in 2015, and they are all nearly 11, should we assume it is around 2026 in the show?
- What is the Tifari (the festival the demons are planning for)?
- Isabella calls one of the demons grandma, does this mean people can evolve into demons or is she being tricked in some way?

Highlights
- Planning The Escape
Clearly, this escape is not going to be easy and, let’s face it, some are going to get left behind. Yes, Emma will likely try to prevent that from happening but she may not have a choice. In fact, I wonder if Krone, during tag, noting Emma’s inability to run with kids perhaps being a bit of foreshadowing. For sooner or later they are going to try and run, and we saw nearly half a room filled with babies. It would make sense, in terms of logistics and drama, to lose some kids while trying to escape. Then, following the loss, there is Emma maybe falling into a depression, or Ray being involved with losing the kid and her mad at him. Thus creating an internal conflict complicating them surviving in the outside world.
On The Fence
- Krone Was Announcing Her Plan Far Too Loudly
I like Krone, even though she is clearly crazy as hell. However, her announcing her plans so loudly seemed like the absolute dumbest thing. You have kids, who are trying to be sneaky, likely are nosey, and then you have Isabella. From what we’ve seen, that home isn’t soundproof. It is made of brick and wood so, that would mean echoes right?
Taking note of that, it leads you to wonder if the thing which will allow the kids to escape be Krone’s idiocy. For while Krone has ambition and speed, Isabella is well known for a reason. So while Krone gave some noteworthy energy, and a bit of an ominous tone to the show, can we take her seriously?

I like the idea of Krone and her presence certainly lead to a better understanding of the farms and the world but I’m not entirely sold on her characterisation just yet. It felt a little too much and not as nuanced as some of the other characters. Still, a great episode and plenty of interesting things happening.
