  1. Reviewer missed something big. NO life history needed. Devin was always that way, from babyhood onward. Born that way. Broken from the start. That IS clearly shown. eg Imprisoned, possibly tortured that bird and hurt Lynn when she tried to tell him to stop. Throwing rocks over a bridge to fall on fast traffic on a highway. (I remember a kid did that and someone died due to rock crashing through windshield.) Psychopaths ARE born. That is what is so BOOM about this show. Lynn was sickening, wasting her time, always with pathetic excuses. Yeah, too late Lynn says “you should have killed him.” Scott, a neurosurgeon, COULD have done something to stop Devin – brain surgery, early on after all that psychotherapy didn’t work; Devin has burned through multiple psych doctors already, so we get the idea of his history. He could have made sure Devin OD’d on fentanyl. SOMETHING. I am a firm believer that psychopaths should be euthanized. I can hope that Scott goes back to his practice in peace; Jax goes to jail for is part in the shootings, and Alex makes peace with his dad.

I see Scott as the VICTIM in this. A superb neurosurgeon, a good man.
