What Men Want may be a reimagining of What Women Want, but Taraji P. Henson not only makes the movie premise her own but brings a truly hilarious experience.

Is A Sequel Possible?

Not likely, unless Ali gets hit in the head the right way and can suddenly hear women, or everyone.

How The Movie Ends

After years of trying to impress Nick, thinking Kevin was the partner who, anonymously, didn’t vote for her, with landing Jamal Barry, Ali is finally promoted. However, years of disrespect, Nick saying, when she almost lost Jamal, that he’d fire her if it weren’t for the #MeToo movement, it leads to Ali leaving once she gets that validation that she could have become a partner. Kevin joins her, and they create an agency with the acronym DAM.

Also, post-Will learning Ali was using him to impress Joe, who is very family oriented, he decides to give her a third chance after accusing him of cheating – on his dead ex-wife. Then, him discovering he was being used, alongside his five going on six-year-old son Ben. Leading to Ali having a happily ever after ending.

What Men Want is hilarious – simple as that. Between Henson, Hodge, Morgan, and the rest of the cast, there is one laugh out loud moment after another. And while the more serious bits push the idea the story could have done more to address each characters’ trauma, give them a bit more depth, this is a comedy. One that doesn’t wish to do more than make you laugh and give just enough background to help you understand how these people ended up with the thoughts they have and to give you an idea behind why they act how they do.
