Season 1 Storylines
After ending the war caused by “The Great Invasion,” Kyle found himself the winner of a Pyrrhic war. But, thanks to a magical item, known as the Divine Dragon’s Heart, Kyle found himself transported years before the invasion began and has now tasked himself with preventing the death and destruction the Demon King caused.
Noteworthy Information
- Date (1.1): After rebirth, it is Kyle’s birthday, the 24th day of the 5th month in 2823.
- Age (1.2): Most of the cast [Kyle and his friends] are around 16
- The Strength of Hydras (1.4): In Kyle’s world, the strength is determined by the number of heads they have
- Dwarves v. Elves (S1E7): Like in a lot of fantasy worlds, in the world of New Saga, dwarves and elves do not get along.
- Leunders (1.1): The continent which is home to demons on one half, and the other half holds humans, elves, and dwarves
- The Gargan Empire (1.1): A humanoid settlement with one of the largest fighting forces, which fell to the Demon King by month 4 of 2827
- Kingdom of Xarles (1.1): A magic-based kingdom that thrived for 1000 years due to the divine dragon’s heart
- Divine Dragon’s Heart (1.1): Found in the Demon King’s throne room, this item, accidentally used by Kyle, allowed him to travel in the past and, based on Seraia’s knowledge, is a legendary item that has been key to the rise of kingdoms like Xarles, and its disappearance, or depletion, is also linked to their downfall.
- Rimarzé (1.2): The market where Kyle and Urza meet again
- Sungard Mountains (1.2): Where the Kingdom of Xarles formerly existed
- Karan (S1E7): Karan is a town renowned for its blacksmiths, which was originally created to be an outpost to defend against demons. It is formed from a partly man-made mountain and is home to quite a few dwarves.
- Golem (S1E7): Also known as Titans, they were a major game-changer during the Great Invasion for humanity, as they were not only tough but also autonomous. In Kyle’s previous life, the Gargan Empire deployed them.
- Holy Sword Rand (S1E8): A weapon forged two millennia ago by a legendary dwarf, and it is named after Randolph the Hero, who used the weapon. It is considered a State treasure by those who live in Karan.
- The Great Invasion (1.1): A war started on the 5th month of 2826, by the new Demon King, which was a genocide on humanoid people
- The Forbidden Rite (1.1): A sacrificial ritual to turn life force into magic power
- Application of the Contract (1.2): A ritual, done during a full moon, that is usually done to forge contracts with spirits, but can also bind two people in a relationship in which, if the contract is broken, it can mean death.
- Phantom Training Method (1.3): The style of training we see Kyle doing, where they face the Demon King
- Wyvern Knights (S1E7): Wyverns, a type of dragon, are often seen as animals that can’t be domesticated. However, according to Alzard, Ceraria, Kyle’s mom, established techniques to tame Wyverns to the point of being used for travel and battle
- Artificer (S1E7): Those who make magical items

- Character Summary: Kyle may not be the strongest soldier currently or in his former life, but he was the last one to survive and thanks to him getting the Divine Dragon Heart, an item which allowed for one kingdom to prosper for 1000 years, he may very well have the power to maintain the peace that was before “The Great Invasion.”

- Character Summary: Liese is one of Kyle’s closest friends, where there might be a mutual attraction, but as of 2823, neither has confessed and taken the next step. But, while not being Kyle’s girlfriend, she does cook for him and his mom like they are officially together.

- Character Summary: Urza is an elf, real name Eksess, who was Kyle’s lover in a past life and a stranger in his current. But, with memories of what they had, it complicates him going for his childhood crush this time around, vs. the woman who made a man out of him in a past life.

- Birthmark (S1E4): She has a heart-shaped birthmark

- Character Summary: The woman Kyle meets is a facsimile of the actual Queen Sildonia, based on when she was at the height of her powers. As of the episode when she is introduced, she is the sole person who knows Kyle’s full backstory and often acts as an advisor to him, while she constantly snacks on cookies and other treats.

- Reason For Childlike Appearance (1.3): The version we see is a facsimile made when the queen was at the height of her appearance
- True Form (S1E4): Sildonia notes her true form is a jewel, but she can transform into any type of entity, be it object or animal. But, mostly we see her in human form.

- Character Summary: A beloved figure amongst humanoids, Princess Milena’s death in Kyle’s original timeline was not only tragic, but riddled with rumors that questioned what happened and if she was assassinated. The official story is that she was killed by a hydra while visiting an area that was ravaged by the same kind of monster. However, whether her half-brother, Prince Carenas, had her killed or someone else has always been questioned.

- Character Summary: King of the city-state of Zirgus, King Remonas is far more scared and insecure than he lets on. In fact, one of his biggest worries is his daughter’s success, and him becoming known simply as her father.
