Character Introduction

Tiff is a graduate student, studying psychology, who, to pay her bills, works as a dominatrix.

Additional Information About Tiff
  • She is the daughter of born-again Christians.
  • For most of high school, Tiff was with football players and not for romantic reasons. The reason she was with them is she felt sex was all she had to offer and so it’s what she gave for some form of validation. However, things were different with Pete, who knew he was gay, since he was nice to her and liked her as a person rather than just the feeling of her vagina. Leading to them having bad sex which led her to think she ruined their friendship.
  • She hasn’t talked to her mom in 6 years.
  • Tiff enjoys old movies but hates anything dealing with a lot of sunlight. Such as going to the beach, or being outside too long.

Character Introduction

An inspiring stand up comic, Pete suffers from performance anxiety which leads to him more so watching people perform than him performing himself. Not to say he doesn’t have jokes and doesn’t write them, it is just he isn’t too confident in them. So, to make ends meet, he works as a waiter – which barely pays rent or supports his weed habit.

Alex Hurt As Frank

Pete’s roommate who isn’t spoken about much in the premiere episode. Well, outside of supporting Pete being gay to an almost flirtatious degree.

Character Introduction

Kate is one of Tiff’s classmates who is as studious as she is. However, one main difference is that while Tiff rebuff’s Professor Charles’ comments, Kate wants and loves them. Making it seem she is jealous of any and all attention Tiff gets.

  • It appears Kate isn’t strictly into Professor Charles but may just want somebody she feels connected to in general.

Matthew Wilkas As Rolph

Rolph is one of Tiff’s clients who enables her lifestyle. For with it appearing she is living in his home, but he is taking care of her, needless to say, he is making life for her easy.

Character Introduction

Doug is Tiff’s classmate in Professor Charles’ class. Also, he seems to have an interest in her which she is very iffy about. If only because her past is riddled with guys who had purely sexual intentions. So him offering her notes or volunteering to do a presentation before her are seen as nice gestures which may refute her initial take on him.

Amy Bettina As Chelsea

Character Introduction

Chelsea is an upperclassman that Tiff and Pete went to school with in Georgia who, unlike those two, hasn’t perhaps found her groove in New York. Yes, she has a job and likely a home, but also has no friends. Leading her to drink alone often.

D’Arcy Carden & Eric Berryman As Daphne and Andrew

Character Introduction

Daphne was the girl who dreamed of a nice house and all that is sold to young girls. Making Andrew having a tickle fetish which makes him scream out “MOTHER!” a bit much for her. Luckily, she learns about Mistress May’s services. Services which may have saved her marriage.

General Information

  • The show takes place in New York, and it appears Pete and Tiff are from Georgia.
  • Tiff and Pete have known each other for 13 years.
    • Of which, after high school, Tiff decided to disappear for a while and essentially abandon Pete.
