Synopsis

Based on a true story, “Burning Body” stars Úrsula Corberó as Rosa, a woman enduring the loss of her boyfriend, Pedro, after his burned body was found in a car. But as the investigation into who killed Pedro develops, so does an entanglement of lies, toxic relationships, violence, and sex scandals involving multiple members of a police force. Rosa is in the middle of it all.

Rosa (Úrsula Corberó)

Rosa is a police officer who looks for belonging and love from multiple people. Her insatiable desire often leads her to sleep with coworkers, which results in broken hearts and scandal within her own workplace. Due to her divorces, affairs, and child, Rosa doesn’t seem sure what she wants and attempts to escape any future she may have with a partner.

Albert (Quim Gutiérrez)

Albert is a fellow police officer, Rosa’s ex-partner, and an on-and-off lover. Albert is the most blindly loyal romantic partner of Rosa’s and is willing to drop whatever he’s doing to meet her. While Albert is the most loyal, he’s also the most jealous and willing to prove his love in dangerous ways.

Javi (Isak Férriz)

Javi is Rosa’s ex-husband and the father of her child. They may have met in the police academy, but their young and passionate love quickly fizzled out as they both started to cheat on one another. Javi is the one man who is uncharmed by Rosa.

Ester (Eva Llorach)

Ester is the detective assigned to Pedro’s murder case. She’s calm and determined to learn all about the case, but Ester becomes more curious as to why Rosa continues to lie to her and tries to frame Javi for the murder.

Pedro (José Manuel Poga)

Pedro was once Rosa’s lover and is now dead. As Pedro is the burned body and the center of the murder case, his story is mostly told through flashbacks. He’s quite clueless about what Rosa wants but is determined to have her marry him.
