Brian White As Jimmy Blue

Character Introduction

First Noted In Season 1, Episode 1 “Pride Cometh Before…”

Jimmy is an Afghanistan/Iraq veteran who went into the military after his father was killed in the September 11^th attacks. Since getting out the military he has had some trouble with various vices like pills and alcohol which put a strain on his relationship with wife Gloria. However, while he still takes pills, seemingly to deal with PTSD, if not physical pain, he is more coherent and is more reliable. Hence him being one of the top cops in Bronx’s SIU division.

Ameer Baraka As Darius

Character Introduction

First Noted In Season 1, Episode 1 “Pride Cometh Before…”

Darius is Jimmy’s former partner as a cop, and also it seems they served in the military together. Hence why Jimmy was willing to help him procure $600,000 so that Darius’ daughter, who has a terminal form of cancer, could live past the estimated year she has left.

Shanti Lowry As Yolanda

Character Introduction

First Noted In Season 1, Episode 1 “Pride Cometh Before…”

Yolanda is Jimmy’s new partner and is already impressing him and many she works with. However, behind the scene she is a bit of a wreck. Between childhood trauma and past relationships which were dysfunctional, to say the least, she is going to therapy to get better rather than take a more destructive path.

Vanessa Lyon As Gloria

Character Introduction

First Noted In Season 1, Episode 1 “Pride Cometh Before…”

Gloria is Jimmy’s wife, based on him wearing a wedding ring on his left hand, and has been with Jimmy through alcohol abuse, pill-popping, and him cheating on her. Yet, there is something about him that is hard to let go so as much as she wants to be free, she ends up right back in his home.

Leticia Jimenez As Miriam

Character Introduction

Miriam is the lead investigator into the situation of Darius and Jimmy, when they were partners, looking into some low level Albanian drug syndicate and somehow walking into a situation where there were multiple people dead, a van full of guns, and no money.

Jasmine is Yolanda’s therapist that she has been seeing for a yet undisclosed amount of time. However, it is clear a lot of Yolanda’s healing may have come from talking to this person.

Julian Mathais & Rebecca Merle As Felix and Ashley

Character Introduction

First Noted In Season 1, Episode 2 “Archangels”

Felix is a young kid from the Bronx with a mother, Ashley, who was struggling with drugs and with being a single mother. Luckily, Tarik came into their lives and with his help, Ashley got into rehab and Tarik got a male figure to look up to.

Elijah Bezares As Kiki

Character Introduction

First Noted In Season 1, Episode 2 “Archangels”

Leader of the 18th street boys, Kiki isn’t a major player in the underworld but could be seen as an up and comer. However, with him on Jimmy’s radar, and one of his boys shooting at him and Yolanda, his career is likely to be cut short by a prison sentence. Especially since it is believed he has caught two bodies.

Keeland Ellis As Tarik

A cop from the tenth precinct, whose mother is dead, Tarik seems like a good cop based off his interactions with Felix and his mom. In fact, Yolanda pushes for him to be recruited by the SIU.

Sister Rogers is dead, and Sister Martha in jail for taking part in her death. As for Sister Carissa and Father Evans? While they might be mourning, it’s business as usual. Well, outside of Sister Carissa being repentant for hiding the gun under the guise it was to protect Felix. Not because Sister Martha and her boyfriend used it.

He is in jail for the murder of Sister Rogers for while her falling down a flight of stairs was an accident, him hiding the body and making it look like the local gang did it was not. Nevermind him putting a bullet in her head.
