Mo feigning sympathy for Zoey.
Mo: My heart breaks for you.

  1. I see your point, but then we do get some darkness with Mitch’s illness and with Simon’s father committing suicide. So maybe the writer’s feel that Mo is just there for some comic relief and to help Zoey with song identification. With the darkness that Mitch and Simon usually bring (not to mention the negativity that sometimes comes from Joan, Tobin, and Zoey’s other co-workers except for Max), I’m happy with Mo just continuing to do what she’s been doing in the first 2 episodes.

  2. You recap and review Zoey’s Extraordinary Playlist, too! Yay! I noticed this when on here for The Good Dr. the other day, but didn’t have time to read and comment until now. I really, really like this show so far!! Anyway, lol “Tobin and people at her job like that… deserving to suffer”!

I like Mitch, but my favorite character is Mo. I remember the actress playing her, Alex Newell(?), from back when she was a teenage boy on a reality tv show called “The Glee Project”. It was made in conjunction with Glee where the winner would get an 8-episode arc on Glee. Alex got 2nd place and a 3-episode arc, even though there was no 2nd place at the beginning of the season. But on the show he played a character who wanted to be a be a transgender girl. He ended up outlasting the winner’s 8 episodes and was there for I think that season and the next one (but I’m not sure because I stopped watching Glee at the beginning of that next season). But I’m happy to see Alex get work, I really like Mo’s one-liners, and to me Mo is the most interesting character.

    1. I adore Mo, but I hope we get to explore their darkness soon so that they aren’t just the sassy sidekick. There is a need for layers.
