Be Optimistic and Stick To The Story – Leia, Obi-Wan
For Obi-Wan, the fall of the Jedi and the loss of Anakin cuts deep. It has made him eternally a pessimist, with the idea everyone and anyone will betray him – especially if a stranger. Leia tries to fight against this with her youthful optimism or naivety. She has them join a trader heading to the port, only for him to turn them in. But, even with the man betraying them, Leia still has faith in people and seemingly is helping Obi-Wan heal old wounds.
The Next In Line – Darth Vader, Fifth Brother, Reva
It is not lost upon the Fifth Brother that Reva is ambitious. He saw that when the Grand Inquisitor was alive. However, with him dead, now it is the Fifth Brother’s turn to ascend, and Reva speaking directly to Darth Vader, breaks the chain of command. Never mind her doing investigations without permission. These acts only cause more discord between the two, which Reva doesn’t give a damn about.
A Cat & Mouse Game – Darth Vader, Obi-Wan, Tala, Leia, Reva
But, what do you expect? Reva gets the job done, and like Vader, she isn’t afraid to sacrifice an innocent to draw out a Jedi. Hence the discovery of Leia and Obi-Wan being on Mapuzo and being able to find them. Darth Vader comes face to face with Obi-Wan and toys with him a bit, and as for Leia? She was supposed to escape with a woman named Tala, who is part of this Underground Railroad type network, but Leia knew Obi-Wan, who stayed behind, needed Tala more.
She was right, as Tala saves Obi-Wan from being dragged away to be tortured for who knows how long. However, with Reva always on the hunt, she finds the tunnel network, intercepts the pilot who was supposed to get Leia off-world and captures her once again. The difference being, this time, she’ll handle Leia as bait personally.

Question(s) Left Unanswered
- I thought force users could sense one another? Why did it take so long for Darth Vader to sense his master?
- Did Vader let Obi-Wan go since he fears walking through fire? Also, couldn’t he have used the force to drag Obi-Wan through the flames again and onto his side?
- Why didn’t Tala shoot Vader?
- So in the line of succession, first is the worst and fifth is right before Grand Inquisitor?
What Could Happen Next
- Reva using Leia as bait again, but not using a third part to get things done
- Us learning Reva and her people were abandonned by Jedi, maybe Obi-Wan specifically, hence her desire for revenge
- Vader learning of his children before the finale

Highlights
Reva Finding A Mentor In Vader
With Obi-Wan noting that most force-sensitive were taken from their families and forced into new ones, you can understand Reva’s hate and frustration for the Jedi Order. Likely, she was taken from all she knows, forced into a new family, and that family failed her the first chance it got, and her biological family was likely sacrificed during the war with the Empire. So now, brainwashed by the dark side as she is, she looks up to a man like Vader.
Like her, he recognizes that to do what is necessary, you have to be willing to be the bad guy to get results. You may need to choke someone, kill another, and because they agree, she feels validated in her approach and sees him as a hero. Plus, with Reva likely having abandonment issues, encouragement, and lack of prejudice, it is probably what heals her somehow. Especially considering how the different brothers and sisters act.
Obi-Wan and Leia’s Relationship
Perhaps what all relationships on this show do is provide the opportunity to heal? Clearly, Obi-Wan is having a difficult time renewing his faith in humanity. They allowed the Jedi Order to fall, and he lost everything in the process. His innocence, faith, and all of that were stripped from him, and he became scared with being left bare.
Despite being far more vulnerable, Leia isn’t, and while you can see this as childhood ignorance, maybe that is what Obi-Wan needed? Someone to remind him his way isn’t the only way, be it in planning or thought, and you could even say, this time with Leia prepped Obi-Wan for his eventual time with Luke. For while he was around Anakin since he was a child, he didn’t necessarily seem ready when called upon.
Now? Now he has made a mistake, perhaps one of the biggest ones of the century, and Leia helping him get back on his horse is just what he needed.

Obi-Wan and Vader’s Fight
Here is my thing: Obi-Wan is why you lost your arms and legs, have to talk through a voice box, and yet you let him go? You caused flames to emit and dragged Obi-Wan through them, but once he was on the other side, thanks to a random few gunshots, you just watched him get rescued?
FOH! Are you telling me Vader couldn’t have caused something to stop the fire from continuing? You’re telling me Vader couldn’t have dragged Obi-Wan through the flames again so that the droid couldn’t have saved him? Never mind that he wouldn’t have been able to figure out where the gunshot came from and have killed Tala?
We’re supposed to really believe, after all these years of waiting and searching, Darth Vader just watched and let Obi-Wan go? Is this us getting to see Anakin remembers the good times, and while hurt, he doesn’t truly want his master dead?
