  1. “In general, this show seems to have taken World War II and used it as a hook but is avoiding addressing, or using, the atrocities which keep that time in history so important.” – Have to agree with that, particularly after this episode where (while I predicted and kind of wanted Jonas dead) they do not put any emotional weight behind his death or the reason for it. They use it as a cheap hook to get us to come back next week rather than as a statement about war or the choices these characters are making.
    Oh well. I’m watching worse this season so Izetta is safe from being dropped but it is definitely not living up to the first episode that it gave us.
