Episode 3: Sweet Diet
Overview
Between Amane confessing her feelings, and a lot of odd moments, this episode feels very “slice of life.”

When it comes to this episode, let me put it to you like this: If this was episode one, I would do a series premiere styled review and never watch this again. For between watching masturbation scenes, and that air of mystery gone which was presented in the first few episodes, “Sweet Diet” presents the type of tone shift which makes me feel a bit worried. Topic 1: Like Big Brother, Like Little Sister – Makina & Yuuji
Summary
Because of how close Makina has grown to Yuuji, she has now started to imitate his mannerisms.
Commentary
It is so rare for me to be able to summarize something in one sentence. But, pretty much, that is all that happens when it comes to this topic. For with Makina being the type who emulates who she is closest to, and that being Yuuji right now, she begins to act rude, and a bit arrogant, just like her onee-chan.
Topic 2: Michiru Saves The Day! – Michiru, Yuuji, Makina, and Sachi
Summary
Due to Yuuji going auto-pilot while Sachi was talking, he ends up almost getting stuck with having a fanny pack with rhinestones. Thankfully for him though, he has bonded a bit with Michiru and she saves him by showing the fanny pack to Michiru who thinks it is so cute that she must have it.
Commentary
I’m trying to come up with something worth noting or commenting on, but outside of how weird it was that they tried to make it seem Michiru was masturbating while outside, there isn’t much to talk about.
Topic 3: Amane Confesses! – Yuuji & Amane
Summary
Amane, after flirting with Yuuji multiple times, and masturbating in his bed, outright says she is in love with him and asks him out. Something which he rejects for, after his master died it seems, he sort of lost the ability to accept affection and kindness. But, being that Amane doesn’t take to his rejection well, he says she can, at most, be like his big sister. A consolation prize Amane takes, but only if it means Yuuji will show the same kindness to her that he has begun to show everyone else.
Commentary
Considering how the first episode ended with Amane seeming like she has been hunting Yuuji for a while, it does make all that she does to be alone with him, and get close to him, seem suspicious. However, considering in the episode she gets him alone in the nursing room, if she was going to try to kill him that would have been her chance. So you have to wonder what was she talking about in episode one, as well as should we expect more episodes like this? More episodes dealing with Yuuji growing close to these girls and learning to accept their affection? Or is this just to throw us off? For, as of now, we still have 0 clue what these girls did before they came to the academy. So one could only hope that episodes like this are rare and the mystery of these girls past become the real focus.
