San Dell Dios, A Feeding Ground: Sword, Sophie, Gina
To make a full episode short, we find out that, more than likely, Mr. Pawn’s boss, Bishop, planted one of his minions in the town. Said minion, Alfil, protected the town from lower class Horrors or miscreants who’d formerly to attack the town. Yet, unbeknownst to the people, this protection was done just so their numbers could grow. Also, so that when horrors, possibly upper class, got hungry, they’d have a buffet ready for them.
Alas, Sword shows up and rather than Bishop have his stooge quickly dispose of or poison him, he tries to have the pseudo-leader of the humans, Natalia, just figure out a way to kidnap Sophie. That way, they get the girl, the whole town can be rallied against Sword, and the king will be pleased. But, unfortunately for Bishop, despite arming these people with Gatling guns, grenades, and even rocket launchers, Gina shows up.
With her using some kind of force field, she ruins the assassination attempt, saves the townspeople, and Sword handles Alfil. Thus leaving Gina to do what she came to the town to do, escort Sword and Sophie into El Dorado and help with the mission.
Question(s) Left Unanswered
- What if Sophie’s brother was a Horror in disguise? If not a planted memory?

Baby Steps
In the long run, this episode was good for establishing Bishop and bringing Gina on board. Beyond that? We learn that Sophie is considered the princess of El Dorado? Outside of that, there isn’t anything else noteworthy here. As seen, Garo – Vanishing Line, isn’t much for following up on victims of Horrors so Natalia we’ll likely never see again. So while this can’t be considered filler, it is just a baby step forward and just enough is done to prevent criticism.
