Recap

Self Loathing & A Breakthrough – Adachi

Shimamura’s absence, and lack of desire to chase after Adachi, has left her lonely and in a state of self-loathing. You could even say her mental and emotional state depletes to the point of uncontrollable tears. Yet, with the help of a psychic, fortune teller, you choose, she finds herself pushed to take the initiative rather than be meek about what she wants and would make her happy.

You Can’t Get What You Want Unless You Ask For It – Adachi, Shimamura

So, the first thing Adachi does is ask for time and to be close to Shimamura. Following that, it is holding her hand, and with her doing all this in succession, you’d think she was going to confess, but she doesn’t. She admits she was starting to get jealous of Shimamura’s new friends and forces a hug, but she doesn’t go all the way.

However, in a phone call they have, it seems Adachi might be reaching that breaking point. For with being called out for being possessive, then Shimamura remixing that and noting she likes being cared about, Adachi finds herself in tears. Leaving you to wonder if she might push herself over the edge in the next episode?

That Last-Minute Push

Next week’s episode is the final episode, and honestly, I’m not as excited as I should be, but I am hopeful. Why? Well, Adachi is finally speaking on what she wants versus having Shimamura fill in the blanks. Add in it being acknowledged Adachi is jealous and possessive, and maybe this will be the perfect storm for Adachi to realize she needs to do something.

But, even with the episode preview noting Adachi will make progress, and it will be the final episode, there is good reason to fear dreams won’t come true. Well, at least the ones we’ve projected on these two.
