Recap

The Perfect Gift – Taylor, Buck

Thus far in Buck’s life, he hasn’t been in a serious relationship during the holidays. Because of this, he wants to do things perfectly for Taylor but can’t come up with the perfect gift. At least, anything his peers would approve of. So, he decides a beacon would be good in case of an emergency. This, at first, seems kind of weird to Taylor but sweet in its own way. Her gift? Well, just a plain old sweater – one that isn’t even all that expensive.

Trauma Shows Itself In Many Ways – Christopher, Eddie

With Christopher doing the most when it comes to decorating a Christmas tree, Eddie raises a bit of an eyebrow about why? The answer? Christopher has serious fears regarding his dad possibly dying and this being their last Christmas. Which, for Eddie, is a difficult thought to live with.

What Follows Christmas Is New Years, And That Means Making Plans To Change – Eddie

Which leads to his decision to leave the 118.

Things To Note | Question(s) Left Unanswered

Question(s) Left Unanswered

  1. So, is anyone coming back because we’re losing characters left and right?

What Could Happen Next

  1. With losing so many characters, I feel like Ravi and Albert will likely get boosted, or the show will hyper-focus on who is left.

Highlights

This Has Been The Most Shocking The Show Has Ever Been

While not a lot happens in this episode, at least for the main characters, it has to be noted the surprises are coming a little too consistent and swift in regards to possibly not seeing some characters ever again. Chim and Maddie have been on hiatus for quite a while, Michael is gone, and now Eddie too? Then, to follow all that up, we won’t see if anyone will come back, step up, or what have you until MARCH?!

I don’t know if the show is in flux or not, but I must admit, the second half of the season will make it clear whether these changes will be welcomed or if 9-1-1 could potentially be on its last leg.
