Makeine: Too Many Losing Heroines!: Season 1 Episode 9 – Review & Recap

Focus continues to be on Komari as the fall festival is days away and she works herself to the point of collapsing.

The Gist

The TLDR Recap/ Review

  1. Why Komari has been so gung-ho about doing everything is revealed, not necessarily by her but rather by Anna.
  2. How? Well, she is the first one to verbalize why Komari is pushing herself so hard, wanting to do everything herself – including writing things up – it is an act of love.
  3. To the vice president, it is a thank you for befriending the lonely kid whose own class was full of strangers and for the president, it was the only way she could express her crush without further pushing him away.
  4. Anna even explains, with Lemon, part of what makes running good for her is that it can be an outlet, which does lead you to question what is Anna’s outlet? Food?
  5. The further we get to peek behind the curtain with Komari, the more you want to know. We meet her two siblings, who she seemingly watches while her parents work, and then there is her relationship to Nukumizu.
  6. It isn’t clear if there is a crush there, but she does have some sort of feelings toward him. Now, it could be like Lemon and Anna to a point, in terms of him just being a nice guy and her appreciating that.
  7. However, with Anna figuring Komari has a new crush, maybe it is Nukumizu for I can’t imagine this season ending without someone confessing to him.
  8. The only question is, while he represses his feelings about love and more, if given the opportunity, would he reject it or try to be in a relationship just to see what everyone is talking about?
