The Introduction
Aya has what most would consider a miserable life. She is bullied at school by three girls and her older brother, to relieve the stress he has from school, beats her to the point of her vomiting. Naturally causing suicidal thoughts, but she just can’t bring herself to go through with it. Even with her bullies putting razor blades and more within her shoe locker.
But, one day she gets the opportunity to fight back. After a website pops up about becoming a magical girl, she is given a magical girl heart gun and while confused, she keeps it on her person. A good thing too because she is set up to be raped and it is the only thing which stops that from happening.
Problem is, depending on how you look at it, when she shoots her would be rapist Shota, and one of her bullies Erika, they end up dead. Leading to, soon after, Erika’s friend Sarina blaming Aya and being ready to give her a Joker’s smile. But then Yatsumura shows up, another magical girl, and on top of saving her, she reveals there is much work for the two of them to do.
Other Noteworthy Facts & Moments
- With it being noted Aya is in Grade 3. That meant she is roughly 14 to 15 years old. Also for reference, Kaname is 16.
Question(s) Left Unanswered
- So, do her parents not hear Kaname abusing her or do they just not care? The mom seemingly gave something of a damn so I’m confused.

This Seems Really F’D Up
Considering how many violet shows, movies, and anime I watch, I cannot tell you why exactly this left me a bit shocked and uncomfortable. For, even before the rape attempt, I really questioned if I could get through this. Aya came off so sweet and yet is having someone’s foot pressed on her neck, they try to drown her, her brother beats the hell out of her, and they kill her cat just to mess with her! All the while, she doesn’t fight back and it becomes so depressing so quickly.
Yet, then comes Yatsumura and the magical girl powers and so the tables turn. But, it is really hard to say if they will turn in such a way that this can be watched in full without eventually vomiting or nausea.
First Impression: Mixed (Stick Around)
I do feel a little sick to my stomach right now. If only because I’m not used to watching someone be beaten in a prolonged way. But, in this discomfort, I must admit I’m curious as to what may come next? Because of Aya and Yatsumura’s powers, three of Aya’s bullies are gone and now there is seemingly some bigger task at hand. With what we have been presented, there is this unfortunate curiosity to see what could be the thing Yatsumura is referring to. So, pray for me as I continue to watch this.
