You Get Me – Summary/ Review (with Spoilers)
You Get Me isn’t as bad as you may have assumed. However, it will likely end up just another random title on Netflix in time.
While one or two elements kept us going until the end, unfortunately, we’re of the opinion this film never reached the potential it was marketed to have.

Resident Evil: Vendetta shows why the long-running franchise, while respected for longevity, is always met with skepticism.
It was hard to not take an interest in The Book of Henry. It begins with you thinking this will be a love story between yet another child genius and a girl from a less than stellar home environment. However, then it evolves and you realize the kid is a psycho and he plans to…
Upon watching the trailer for The Drowning, I was pretty sure someone re-wrote Twisted. After watching the film, I can definitely say Twisted, at least the first half, blows this out of the water.
War Machine brings little to no nuance to the post-9/11 war sub-genre. It is a bloated film about one general’s ego and his belief the Afghan war wasn’t won yet because he wasn’t there.
Shelter has its moments. However, it wastes all of its potential by not properly developing its storyline or characters. Trigger Warning(s): Movie contains needle use and vomiting
November Rule follows the usual formula romantic relationships do without a single twist or notable thing to make it fresh
In Two Lovers and a Bear, Tatiana Maslany and Dane DeHaan continue to lead you to wonder if what you saw in them was a fluke or they just have had really bad taste in roles ever since.
Snatched isn’t as bad as it may seem to some, but it certainly doesn’t redeem Amy Schumer after The Leather Special.
Usually, when you think of a dystopian future, it is post-war or after humanity destroyed the environment. However, in The Circle, the dystopian future is when all privacy is lost and similar to a handful of Black Mirror episodes, no one is who they truly are.
As comedians get older, usually they retreat into the dramatic fields and start exploring what else is out there for them. Yet, for Adam Sandler, thanks to a multi-movie Netflix deal, it seems he feels validated in sticking to his old ways and not making any changes to his formula. Hence, Sandy Wexler.
The Outcasts is neither as bad as you think it may be, nor something you’ll be surprised by how much you like it.
Carrie Pilby, unfortunately, is the type of film you could only imagine those in the indie hubs of NY/LA would enjoy while the rest of us feel bored out of our minds.
You know, considering I watched the anime and, outside of maybe Pan, no movie with a whitewashing controversy has been good, I should have probably skipped this. Well, let me warn you so you don’t waste however much it costs in your area.
There was a time when I believed Netflix could do no wrong. Yes, some of their shows I didn’t appreciate, but they didn’t release anything which was crap. Now, I’m not saying this movie is crap but I do feel as much as Netflix is redefining what it means to be a VoD release[note]Formerly known…
When it comes to limited release movies, there is always the question of if they are worth the extra cash required to see them. To go to NY to see a film like this, it almost costs as much as the actual ticket. But with it coming locally, and me being a Kristen Stewart fan,…
The Belko Experiment takes the idea of going postal to the next level but, like the phrase, you’ll be left more with memories of the violence than the story behind the violence.
While Maslany’s charm will keep you interested in her as an actress, it doesn’t necessarily lead you to take note of her character or the movie she is in.
The Assignment is a sad case of when a good villain is crafted for a mediocre movie.
Overview/ Review (with Spoilers) For a little more than a year, between the new versions of Sailor Moon and Digimon, featuring the 1st season’s Digi-Destined, it seemed cashing in on nostalgia was a good thing. But then came Gantz:O.
Overview A group of misfits discover a friendly alien life form which needs their help to go home. Review (with Spoilers) Let me start off by saying I never saw E.T. so I can’t make any comparisons to it. However, based on the little bit I’ve seen of E.T., I can understand the comparisons. For…
Overview A 2-hour film which doesn’t have enough action to keep you in awe, doesn’t have a good enough romantic plot to make you envious, and overall it makes you question why does Benicio Del Toro love long movies which go at such a slow pace? Trigger Warning(s): Dead body of a Child Review (with…
After her uncle breaks her trust, a young girl does her best to escape Alaska and, during this journey, she encounters an older man who might be the only one who can make sure she can get away.
Overview Within the superhero franchise, one thing is almost always done: An origin story. Often both the heroes, and the villains they usually had a hand in creating, are given a chance to show they were normal once, just everyday people, but then they had one bad day. So comes The Killing Joke in which…
Overview A woman finds herself born during a time when self-autonomy for women wasn’t available, and when she falls in love with a man, she finds herself consumed due to what they did to keep each other. Review (with Spoilers) Admittedly, I am not a big fan of period dramas. I find them pretentious and…
Overview/ Review (with Spoilers) After Revolori’s past performances in Dope as well as The Grand Budapest Hotel, combined Josh Peck’s work, of which I honestly only know him for The Wackness and appearing in David Dobrik videos (I wasn’t a Drake and Josh fan), there was some hope here. I figured, like XOXO, it would…
Unfortunately, being offensively funny has become a thing and for some reason, it is assumed anyone can do it. On top of that, it is assumed that as long as it is funny, you can get away with saying anything. But what happens when two unlikable anti-heroes aim for anyone and everyone and damn near…

Overview/ Review (with Spoilers) What constitutes a good action movie? Is it jaw-dropping action sequences? Comical lead(s)? Perhaps twists and turns which keep you on the edge of your seat? Perhaps the Marvel standard maybe becoming jaded over time, but at least they are still entertaining. An adjective I can’t use for Sleepless at all….
Overview/ Review (with Spoilers) Like most indie movies, Between Us seems either written for one niche demographic or just made to please its creator. For with its musing and how the relationship between Diane and Henry progresses, surely this movie wasn’t made for your entertainment, pleasure, and consumption. Noted Actor(s) Diane (Olivia Thirlby) | Henry…
Overview When new money comes up too fast and lands on her ass, you get the story of Blue Jasmine. Trigger Warning(s): Scene of attempted sexual assault Review (with Spoilers) In my attempt to at least see the majority of the motion pictures likely to be nominated for acting Oscars, on that list is Blue…
Overview/ Review (with Spoilers) The discovery of this movie came from “IndieWire’s Favorite Asian Films of 2016” and since I have become a bit bored, if not sick of, run of the mill American movies, I decided to spread my wings. Unfortunately, this one reminded me that while non-US cinema maybe more daring, if not…
Overview The Last Robin Hood shows why documentaries sometimes are better than anything attempting to resemble a biopic. Trigger Warning(s): Pedophilia Review (with Spoilers) – Below
Overview A slightly self-deprecating movie that pretty writes its own criticisms. Review (with Spoilers) At this point, I can firmly say I am an Olivia Wilde fan and if her name is attached to a film, likely I will sooner or later watch it. Though I must admit, with her being paired with Jason Bateman,…
Consider this another Kaya Scodelario film which leads you to wonder why she isn’t more selective with the roles she chooses?
