After all that happens in the film, including practice, neither Elle nor Willowdean make the top 3. However, Millie does make runner-up and after questioning why Bo likes her, Willowdean just gives into their mutual feelings and makes out with him. Also, after long having a strained relationship, Willowdean and her mother reconcile after her participation in the talent portion of the pageant. Oh, and best of all, Elle and Willowdean make up after Willowdean claimed Elle was not built for the revolution just because she wasn’t her or Millie’s size.
