Episode Coverage

Below are our quick, episode-by-episode video takes as we work through Season 1.

  • Director(s): Jet Wilkinson
  • Writer(s): Thomas Brandon

From being a sniper on a mission in Belarus to being assigned to a desk job as an analyst, the last three years have been transformative for Alexander, and not in the best way. However, a recent opportunity to get back in the field unfortunately coincides with accusations of being a traitor, and Alexander having to prove his loyalty to his country.

  • Director(s): Jet Wilkinson
  • Writer(s): Thomas Brandon

The show takes a step back to reintroduce Parker so we can learn she is doing much more than watching monitors; she is the woman who is scripting Alexander’s life.

  • Director(s): Kevin Tancharoen
  • Writer(s): Jamie Chan

Parker and Alexander are reminded that The Orphanage isn’t just an agency that watches but can and will get its hands dirty. Also, in the pursuit of saving lives, there is the possibility of collateral damage – something both learn how to live with.

  • Director(s): Kevin Tancharoen
  • Writer(s): Adam Benic

As Cobb and Michelle get the spotlight, so comes a realization as to why The Copenhagen Test is a bit lackluster for a spy show.

  • Director(s): Vincenzo Natali
  • Writer(s): Marilyn Fu

As Alexander begins to run out of people to trust, impress, or want to prove himself to, it seems he may finally come out of Michelle and Parker’s shadow.

  • Director(s): Vincenzo Natali
  • Writer(s): Hannah Rosney

As Henry reveals his motive, The Copenhagen Test also presents potentially deeper themes than originally given credit for.

  • Director(s): Nima Nourizadeh
  • Writer(s): Jennifer Yale, Monica Buccini

As emotional ties are tested, broken, and revealed, we get a penultimate episode that holds a lot of promise for a finale that will either compensate for the first half of the season or put us right back into that ho-hum feeling.

  • Director(s): Nima Nourizadeh
  • Writer(s): Thomas Brandon

Nearly all is explained in the season 1 finale, and it’s more of an exposition dump than anything else.
