The TLDR Recap/ Review
- As usual, the humans find themselves fighting a hero, Sid is mentioned, and here comes Last Riser.
- Unlike with Lord Alfreya, Last Riser is sent to their dimension but rather than there just being a ceasefire and moving on, Rikugen has the human leaders join her in what were the graveyards of Kai’s former world.
- There, the Code Holder lights, Sid speaks, and a door to the Last Riser’s world is revealed, and there it attacks the ones who know of Sid and sends away those who don’t, like Jeanne.
- But, even without a plan, Rikugen, Rinne, and Kai figure out how to escape the Last Riser’s world, with what appears to be Lord Alfreya, and even lure Last Riser to their world – the only place it can be harmed.
- But, with Last Riser seemingly immortal and there being multiple versions, it seems this battle is just part one.
- The main takeaway here is that, per Rikugen, only the hero of Mythical Beasts really sided with Last Riser, despite it not belonging to any faction and how massively rejected it was.
- But, as with all things, while you are given some information, it never feels like enough. With the next episode being the season finale, likely series finale with the way most anime are, it is hard not to be frustrated.
- Yet, throughout “Why Does Nobody Remember Me In This World,” we’ve found ourselves more easily finding something lacking than worthy of praise, so what else is new?
