Don’t Know If It Is Worst When The Decline Is Slow Or Quick – MV, Ellis, Sunday
MV was Sunday’s champion. There wasn’t an event he’d miss and not show out if she was involved. But him not coming to an event where she is getting a reward? Paired with losing his wallet in a fruit bowl and accusing Ellis of stealing it? Sunday is worried, but what can she do? It’s been a month, and her father is no closer to changing his mind about moving to Atlanta.
Old Feelings Linger – Anastasia, Sunday, Ellis, Josiah
With Danny on tour and being stuck with her mother and Bree in the middle of Alabama, Anastasia calls Ellis, and despite Sunday’s event, Ellis drops everything. This is worrisome, but Sunday has no choice but to accept it. But what complicates things isn’t Ellis being away but Josiah showing up.
Josiah and Sunday have a situationship. They meet up, have a nice meal, have sex, and part ways. Sometimes they talk business, and it seems Josiah has financially invested in her, but they never became serious due to mutually not seeking that type of relationship.
However, seeing Ellis’ name when Sunday directs him to her table leads to a last-minute conversation to figure out if it is too late. Which, sadly for him, it is. But, with him grazing Sunday’s backside as Josiah takes Sunday to an after-party, it puts Ellis on notice in a way that temporarily complicates their relationship.
Not Ready For Something New, But Not Trying To Lose Something Old – Anatasia, Sunday, Ellis
While Josiah does raise red flags, Sunday quickly squashes Ellis’ worries. However, Anastasia just popping over as Sunday and Ellis are about to have sex again ruins the mood and makes Sunday feel put on notice. While apologetic, Anastasia doesn’t have the kind of boundaries she should have with Ellis, which worries Sunday. But, as Ellis said, he needs time, but knowing Sunday wasn’t going to wait for him, it was decided that things would be messy.

Ellis Showing Us Why He Didn’t Want To Jump Into Anything With Sunday
Clearly, while Ellis and Anastasia aren’t together, they haven’t fully broken up. They are still entangled, and while Ellis seems ready and willing to move on, you can’t discount this relationship ended because of Anastasia cheating. Because of that, feelings linger, and add in the children, it makes the process of splitting apart difficult.
Plus, how long have they been separated at this point? Has there been an official divorce? What about a custody agreement? We know Anastasia abandoned her kids to be with Danny, but has there been a sit-down conversation about how they will operate post-marriage?
In my mind, that was what Ellis was waiting or working himself up for. Either Anastasia triggering that conversation, or Ellis gaining the time and energy for that back and forth. Which, the longer it takes, the more it seems Anastasia is willing to take advantage of Ellis’ kindness and the grace he is willing to give her for the sake of the kids. Especially their youngest, who doesn’t have the same perception of their mom as the eldest.
