A new creation is introduced and it seems this one is neither a hero nor anti-hero but a straight up villain.

Altair: Soto

After some investigation into Shimazaki, Soto realizes that the Military Uniform Princess’ name is Altair This could be considered an assumption and she is part of “World Étude.” However, he doesn’t tell anyone he knows this and keeps it to himself.

Commentary

I’m waiting for the day Altair confronts Soto and we can learn the full history of what conspired between him and Shimazaki. For, I don’t know if there is a love story, a friendship turned sour, maybe she has some sort of Hanekawa, from the Monogatari series, home environment or what? But I’d like for us to deep dive into that story for, like with Shingeki no Bahamut – Virgin Soul, it isn’t like this show doesn’t have an abundance of episodes to fill in the gaps.

Two Sides To The Same Coin: Selestia, Meteora, Mamika, Magane, Alicetaria, Blitz Talker

The line has been established and while Selestia and Meteora side with the government and are simply trying to figure out a way to get home, Altair’s allies are for forcing their creators to change their worlds before returning. Now, while the goal is the same, Altair’s people, who seemingly all come from horrible worlds, find it difficult to just go back to the hell that was written. Alicetaria especially who notes the mountains of bodies she has witnessed. So, when confronted by Meteora and Selestia, as she gets ready to battle Magane, who murders a shopkeeper this episode, an all-out battle happens. One which surely won’t be the last.

Commentary

Outside of Meteora having her usual lecture about how things work, oh I was enjoying this episode so much. Magane is seemingly going to be an active and intriguing villain, in comparison to Yuya, who has basically disappeared, and Altair who barely even seems like a puppet master at this point. But, on top of her delicious introduction, we have another battle scene! One which had explosions, our heroes on the losing end, and Blitz Talker even joining the fun.

Yet, looking ahead, you have to question what may or could happen in the long run? So it seems, we now have the full cast established, so where to from here? More creators met and interacted with? A war between the two sides? Could, in the 2nd half of the season, we find ourselves in the worlds of the creation? Only time will tell.
