The only three reactions you can have at this point. 1st face: Impatiently waiting for something interesting to happen. 2nd face: Attentively listening to every word hoping that she says something that doesn’t seem obvious. 3rd face: Trying to be positive and think this is part of laying down the show’s foundation and not what we should expect every episode.

A Dead Creator and The Military Uniform Princess’ Motivation (Meteora)

Meteora learns her creator died in an accident and because of that, she doesn’t necessarily get the closure she wanted. However, through playing her game, she gets to understand and come to love her creator. Leading to the reveal of what The Military Uniform Princess told her and how she was willing to at least play spectator. For, you see, she plans on the creators’ world ending by combining them with their creations. Making for the laws of physics, among many others, conflicting and leading to a collapse. One which could be taken advantage of and lead to the desired changes each character craves for their own.

That is unless each character finds a way home. With or without the changes they so deeply desire.

Commentary

Something needs to happen on this show. I’m talking about a fight, us getting to know the Military Uniform Princess’ creator better or something. For if this show continues to spend the majority of its time having us listen to Meteora talk as if she is a college professor breaking down how everything is happening in the show, I quit. For while I get that is her character, she was the protector of some library, it in no way makes for a pleasurable watching experience.

I mean, when they rushed and had her on mute to learn her creator was dead, I was shouting hallelujah! For let me tell you, this show, consistently, causing me to have a nap Saturday afternoon. I can be on a roll, doing Andi Mack, a movie and then watch this and it will bore the hell out of me to the point I decide to go to sleep.

Which is a shame for, like many have said, the premise is so damn interesting. Yet, the tone of this show doesn’t take advantage of the idea of these creations confronting their creators at all. There is no asking why they written so and so to die, why they gave them tragic lives or anything like that. All we get is Meteora spending a good 5 to 10 minutes explaining every little detail about what is going on in the episode from an almost technical point of view. Leaving even the people listening to her confused, bored, and yet watching her in hopes that she can perhaps stop and they can politely move onto something else.

Which is what I may do after episode 5 for I would like to not just do the pilot of shows and then drop them after that. For, just based off what we have gotten in the last few episodes, I almost wish to do a complete 180 on the original rating for this show. For there doesn’t even seem to be a reason to stick around anymore if it is just going to be the Meteora show featuring other characters who she gets to overanalyze or provide commentary on.
