    Rosemary's Baby (2014) – Overview/ Review (with Spoilers)

Overview There is little point in watching this remake, go see the original. Review (with Spoilers) A part of me has such mixed feelings about all these remakes of various classic movies that now have Black starring characters. Not because I am against seeing diversity, but because I’d rather see money put into original media than rehashes of old media. Especially when, in films like Rosemary’s Baby, all that seems to change is the skin tone. There is no cultural adaptation or even a recognition that something has changed in comparison to the original, it is just a darker face which once was played by a white person. For more on the film, look below. Community Rating: 0.00% (0) - No Community Ratings Submitted.

Out of the Furnace – Overview/ Review (with Spoilers)

Overview This rural drama has all the ingredients to be good but ends up being a disappointment. Trigger Warning(s): Violence against Women & gun violence Review (with Spoilers) I have been seeing trailers for this for months and even saw Casey Affleck talk about it when he was on Real Time with Bill Maher but for some reason, this film came into my local theater and quickly was replaced. Such should be considered odd since each cast member has a familiar face, but then you see the movie and begin to understand. Community Rating: 55.49% (1)

Guardians of the Galaxy – Overview/ Review (with Spoilers)

Overview When it comes to Marvel, rarely is anything overhyped and with Guardians of the Galaxy, they present a new franchise for movie fans to commit to. Review (with Spoilers) Truly, the testament of what makes Marvel films good is that they combine summer blockbuster action, the type of comedy you would expect to come from professional comedians and the type of moving performances that usually are held until winter’s Oscar season. And with Guardians of the Galaxy, things are no different. For it truly shows why DC comic book adaptations, despite having the big names of Batman, Superman, and Wonder Woman, have always found themselves following Marvel’s lead. To learn why this film continues to keep Marvel on a high pedestal: read below. Community Rating: 0.00% (0) - No Community Ratings Submitted.
