  1. They actually explained the evidence question in the show. Laura misrepresented that she was at Andrew’s mother’s home at his request, but she asked, and was granted, access to the shed and Andrew’s things. The male detective explicitly states that the evidence is admissible.

  2. The thing is, we always like to pick everything apart and ask questions like, “Who would really do that, in real life?” And on and on. But if everything was done just exactly like all the super-smart and perfect critics would do “in real life”, there wouldn’t be a show. There is always going to be something that wouldn’t really happen in real life, exactly the way it happens in the movies, always something the cops wouldn’t have really done, always something the victim might not really do, and so on. Why don’t we just sit back and enjoy the show instead of nitpicking everything to absolutely pieces! Enjoy a show and don’t worry about what would have happened in real life. It’s NOT real life. It’s television. Entertainment. Get over it.
