How Did It End?
After being haunted throughout Umma, Soo-Hyun (Amanda) finally decides to confront her mother after being dragged to the place she gave her a makeshift burial. There, in this place which appears to be limbo, the two finally have a conversation that allows there to be some form of reconciliation. Mainly since Soo-Hyun verbalizes how much she understood what her mother went through and how she isn’t scared of her anymore.
With that, Soo-Hyun’s Umma passes on, and Soo-Hyun gives her mother a proper burial with her daughter Chris by her side. After that, we see Chris head off for college with no protest from Soo-Hyun. Also, now Soo-Hyun allows electricity on her property, including phones, so it seems her aversion to anything which requires electricity, or electricity itself, is also over.
Is There Sequel/ Prequel Potential?
With no mid or end credit scene, alongside no new conflict being presented once Soo-Hyun’s Umma passes on, this appears to be a one-and-done production.
