How Did It End?

With the discovery that Alli and Tinja are two different people, not Tinja doing bad things and blaming Alli like an alter ego, that’s a major issue. After all, Alli is killing people’s dogs, maiming humans, and even was about to kill a baby! So it is decided she has to go, and while Tinja would prefer to have Alli just be banished, her mother decides Alli has to die. Especially since she ruined her chance at happiness with Tero by trying to kill Tero’s baby.

The problem is that Alli and Tinja are connected. It isn’t 100% clear how, but to hurt Tinja means to hurt Alli. So between that and Tinja not wanting Alli, who she practically raised, killed, she jumps in front of a knife meant for Alli. This leads to Tinja dying, Alli, who was injured from previous strikes, taking in Tinja’s blood, and eventually finishing the process of morphing into Tinja. Something we watched the whole movie from when Alli looked like a bird to losing her beak, extra teeth, and morphing into a human.

But, with Tinja now dead, there is the question of what the family is going to do? There is an identical twin here who can help mask what essentially was a murder. Granted, one who is still working on learning how to speak and not seem feral, but with time and effort, Alli could fully take over Tinja’s life. But whether that is what Mother and Father agree upon and whether they can keep Matias’ mouth shut about it? That’s hard to say. For even if they pull it off, they still have to deal with Reetta, who is alive after Alli maimed her, potentially saying something and bringing unwanted attention to the family’s doorstep.

Is There Sequel/ Prequel Potential?

Technically yes. With Alli taking over Tinja’s look, there is the question of what is next? Mother did kill Alli’s birth mom, killed the mom who raised her, and tried to kill her, so revenge could be on the table. But I’m not sure how that could be made into a full-length movie.

As for a prequel? Mother’s story of how she met the dad and gained her issues could be done. I wouldn’t say it is likely, but it could be done.
