How Did It End?

Because Massimo expanded too much and made other mob bosses feel threatened or uncomfortable, the plan was to kill Massimo and replace him with his twin brother Adriano. Why him? Because he is more manageable and doesn’t have the same level of ambition as Massimo. Now, to force Massimo to see Don Matos, who is heading all of this, they took advantage of Massimo having a wife, Laura. For with seeing how he reacted to their warning shot, which caused her to lose a baby, they figured that using her was the best way to get to him.

Hence why Don Matos’ son, Marcelo, aka Nacho, seduces Laura and takes advantage of her, and Massimo having marital issues, which stemmed from Adriano pretending to be Massimo having an affair with his ex, Anna. This allows Marcelo to get her to Spain, where his family runs things. There, she begins to fall for him until the truth is revealed, and she finds herself a pawn for the day Adriano is to take over.

However, that doesn’t happen. Marcelo wasn’t aware of how far things would be taken with Laura, who he had fallen for. So when he learns she is potentially in trouble, he goes to find Laura, with Massimo close behind. In a large room, they find Adriano with Laura in his arms and a gun to her head, and then Anna walks in as well. Everyone has their guns drawn, and the situation ends with Adriano being shot and killed, Anna as well, and once again, Laura presented as potentially dead, with her being shot on the left side of her abdomen and bleeding out.

Is There Sequel/ Prequel Potential?

It’s entirely possible, but there is a need to ask if it is necessary? I mean, Don Matos did set up a situation to take down Massimo, and he used his wife to lure him away from his stronghold. So there is a revenge plot there. Add in Massimo and Laura reconciling and having a lot of sex to makeup, there is a plot for a sequel.
